Return and Refund Policy

At CastView, we offer a 30-day return policy. This means you have 30 calendar days after receiving your item to notify us that you would like to return it.

This policy applies to purchases made directly from our online store. It operates alongside your statutory consumer rights and does not exclude or restrict them. Where applicable law provides additional rights or more favourable protection, those provisions apply.

Return eligibility

For returns under our voluntary 30-day policy, your item must be complete, with its included accessories, and must not have been used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Please return the item in its original packaging where possible. If you no longer have it, use suitable protective packaging. Opening the packaging or not retaining the original box does not, by itself, prevent a return.

Where permitted by law, we may deduct an amount reflecting the actual loss in value caused by handling beyond reasonable inspection, customer-caused damage or missing components. We will explain any deduction. We do not charge a restocking fee.

These conditions do not restrict your legal rights concerning defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise non-conforming goods.

Please provide your order number, order confirmation or other reasonable proof of purchase. A paper receipt is not required if your purchase can otherwise be verified.

How to request a return

Please contact us before posting your return so we can provide instructions. However, prior approval or a return authorisation number is not required to exercise a statutory right of withdrawal. A clear notice sent within the applicable deadline is sufficient.

After notifying us, send the item back within 14 calendar days, unless applicable law provides a longer period. Please keep proof of dispatch. We recommend using a tracked shipping service.

Do not assume that the sender’s address on your delivery parcel is the correct return address.

Return shipping costs

For a change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item, including international return postage where applicable, provided this responsibility was disclosed before purchase and applicable law permits it.

A prepaid return label is not automatically included for change-of-mind returns.

If your item is defective, damaged on arrival, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to your order, CastView will cover the necessary and reasonable return shipping costs. Contact us so we can arrange a prepaid label, collection or reimbursement as appropriate.

Where applicable law requires us to cover return costs, we will do so.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order after delivery and contact us if it is damaged, defective, incomplete or incorrect.

Include a description of the issue and, where reasonably available, relevant photographs or video. These can help us assess the problem but are not an absolute requirement for a valid claim.

Failure to report an issue immediately after delivery does not automatically remove your legal rights. Our 30-day voluntary return period does not limit any applicable legal guarantee or other statutory remedy.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, refund or compensation. Any remedy will be provided within the time and on the terms required by law.

Discounted items and exchanges

Discounted and promotional products are covered by this policy. An item being on sale does not remove your statutory consumer rights.

If you would like to exchange an item, contact us to check availability. You may also return an eligible item and place a separate order. You will not be required to make another purchase to receive a replacement to which you are legally entitled.

For partial returns of promotional bundles, the refund will reflect the amount paid for the returned items and any discount allocation clearly disclosed before purchase, subject to applicable law. No undisclosed return penalties will apply.

European Union and United Kingdom: right of withdrawal

Where EU or UK distance-selling rules apply, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days after receiving the goods, without giving a reason. For goods ordered together and delivered separately, this period generally begins after receipt of the last item.

To exercise this right, send us a clear statement by email at casttview@outlook.com, by post to our business address, or through another legally valid method. You may use the optional withdrawal form below.

Where required by applicable law, this function will be available throughout the statutory withdrawal period, and we will promptly confirm your submission by email or another durable medium.

After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must send the goods back within 14 calendar days.

You may inspect the goods as you reasonably would in a shop. Any deduction for handling beyond that necessary inspection will be limited to actual diminished value and made only where legally permitted.

Our voluntary 30-day return policy supplements these rights. It does not shorten statutory deadlines or any legally required extensions.

Refunds

We will confirm receipt of your return and explain any issue affecting your refund. Our inspection process will not extend a mandatory legal refund deadline.

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method unless you expressly agree to another method without additional cost. Store credit will not be imposed instead of a refund to which you are entitled.

For statutory EU or UK withdrawal, we will refund you without undue delay and within 14 calendar days after receiving your withdrawal notice. Unless we offer to collect the goods, we may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.

For withdrawal from an entire order under those rules, we will also refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Additional charges for an express or premium delivery option do not have to be refunded. Delivery refunds for partial returns follow applicable law.

For returns made solely under our voluntary 30-day policy, we will refund the amount paid for eligible returned items within 14 calendar days after receiving them, subject to any lawful and explained deduction. Original delivery charges are not refunded under this voluntary option unless required by law.

Refunds for faulty goods and other statutory claims follow the deadlines and requirements of the applicable law.

Your bank or payment provider may need additional processing time to display the refund after it has been issued. Contact casttview@outlook.com if your refund appears overdue.

International consumer rights

Customers in all countries retain the mandatory consumer protections applicable to their purchase.

Where EU consumer law applies, goods benefit from a legal guarantee of at least two years, with longer protection available under some national laws. Where Spanish consumer law applies, the seller’s liability period for lack of conformity of new goods is generally three years from delivery.

Where Australian Consumer Law applies, consumers are entitled to choose a refund or replacement for a major failure and may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Other failures may give rise to repair or replacement rights.

Nothing in this policy limits any non-excludable rights under these or other applicable consumer protection laws.

Preparing your device for return

Where possible, back up and remove personal recordings and other personal data before returning your CastView device. Remove any memory card purchased separately unless we agree it is needed for assessment.

If a fault prevents you from removing your data, let us know. This does not affect your consumer rights.

If the device or battery appears unsafe to ship, contact us before posting it so we can arrange suitable instructions.
